Ecuadorian Film Festival (EFF)
A visual identity system.

Context

Ecuadorian Film Festival (EFF) is a branding and identity project centered on unifying diverse cultural voices through a cohesive visual system. The project explores how design can represent regional distinction while maintaining a clear, collective identity.

Ecuador is divided into four distinct regions—each with its own geography, culture, and history—yet unified as one country. This identity reflects that structure through a modular typographic system that allows variation while preserving unity.

Concept

Visual System

The identity is built around a custom typographic and shape-based system derived from shared forms. These elements shift and recombine to represent regional diversity while maintaining consistent proportions, rhythm, and hierarchy across all materials.

Applications

Once established, the visual system scales across multiple applications including posters, merchandise, and guidebooks. Each application adapts the system without breaking consistency, demonstrating flexibility within a unified framework.
